AWM - US Private Bank - Business Management - Process & Infrastructure Team - Associate

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The USPB Business Management - Process & Infrastructure Team is part of the JPMorgan Private Bank in JP Morgan’s Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) line of business. The Private Bank is the world’s premier service provider for ultra and high net worth individuals. Our goal is to help these affluent clients across the globe optimize their wealth, after taxes and across generations. 

JP Morgan USPB Business Management – Process & Infrastructure Team

The US Private Bank Business Management team drives key strategic initiatives and continuous process improvements as well as providing daily support to the Front Office.  This role involves frequent interaction with management (Market Managers) and front office advisors (Bankers, Investors, etc.) in a fast-paced team environment. Collaboration with stakeholders is key to develop an ever evolving roadmap to drive business objectives forward.

The successful candidate will execute in a fast-paced environment and should have a working style that fosters teamwork. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and outstanding analytical and research skills. He or she will work across the business extensively and must demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects with senior level stakeholders.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities of this position are to support the region in its business development, regulatory, and change initiatives as it relates to the Global Cross Border Framework; to be a regional participant in the development and roll-out of US Private Bank programs and controls; and to develop and execute quality control processes to ensure business adherence to policies and procedures. The person will work closely with control and support functions, as well as front-office advisors, to ensure the highest level of execution for the region’s ongoing business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:

Business Development, Regulatory, and Change Initiatives:
    * Understand regional business priorities and participate in the implementation of process improvement initiatives to support the achievement of business goals and objectives.
    * Partner with business-aligned functional areas (Client Service, Client Operations, Finance, Supervisory Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal) with respect to process improvement and change initiatives impacting the region.

Regional representative for the development and roll-out of firm-wide programs and controls:
    * Act as a USPB representative for the development and roll-out of firm-wide programs and frameworks (e.g., cross-border, privacy, data management...)
    * Participate and contribute in forums focused on the oversight and development of these programs.
    * Provide support to the business to ensure adherence to policies and procedures connected to USPB program’s requirements.

Business Quality Control:
    * Identify key processes that need to be performed by front-office advisors and execute the monitoring and testing of adherence to policies and procedures.
    * Provide a predefined set of metrics on a regular basis to illustrate volumes and trending patterns of issues and behaviors.
    * Engage with front-office, support, and control functions to understand root causes of recurring issues, coordinate the execution of remediations, and seek the optimization of processes and controls.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree required (business or economics-related major preferred, or equivalent work experience in finance and/or a financial services firm)
• Cross border experience a plus
• Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant experience preferred
• Specific industry related experience preferred
