R-00127208 Electronics Technician 1

As an Electronics Technician 1, you will play a crucial role in the repair and reconditioning of electronic hardware used by the Federal Aviation Administration. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and troubleshooting electronic systems, conducting repairs, and ensuring that all equipment passes prescribed procedures for safety and reliability.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify and analyze electronic hardware issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.

Repair and Reconditioning: Perform repairs and reconditioning of FAA electronic hardware to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of repaired equipment to ensure it meets FAA and Leidos standards and specifications.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, including troubleshooting steps, parts used, and testing results.

Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team of technicians to address complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

Compliance: Adhere to all Leidos regulations and guidelines throughout the repair and reconditioning process.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the electronics repair department.

 

Basic Qualifications

The candidate is required to have a high school diploma

Associate degree from an accredited college in Electronics Technology or related field.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience and less than 1 years prior relevant experience.

Familiarity with FAA regulations and standards is a plus.

Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and systems.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

US Citizenship Requirements

Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience as an Electronics Technician, with a focus on hardware repair.

Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
