Overview

The AI/ML Software Engineer will work within the Revenue Engineering department to mine, learn from, and build data products and models using diverse datasets. This role aims to deliver insights that improve revenue opportunities, estimation, and application processes. We will deploy these data products as services to our applications. 

The Revenue Engineering team at Myriad Genetics builds enterprise services that streamline and automate Revenue Cycle processes (Billing, Authorization, Revenue Accounting) for Myriad. We are a high-performing team and a trusted partner with a culture of flexible, pragmatic problem-solving in the service of organizational goals.

 

Responsibility

  • Support the development of Enhanced Revenue Estimation by investigating new tools, improving existing ones, and performing bespoke analyses.
  • Implement and integrate machine learning models into software applications to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Engineering teams to shape business strategy, utilize new data sources and offer data science assets for consumption by transactional systems.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of deployed models to ensure they meet business objectives.
  • Contribute to the design and development of enterprise services that support Revenue Cycle processes.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  2. Extensive understanding of data science architecture, languages, applications, and design principles with mastery of SQL and at least one coding language. (e.g., Python, R)
  3. Experience working with internal and external clients on data sharing, analysis, and support projects.
  4. Proven track record of improving systems in secure, reliable, and reproducible ways.
  5. A lifelong learner, striving for growth for themselves and their teammates, ensuring systems are the best they can be.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, applied math, operations research, or engineering. Advanced degrees are preferred.
  2. Experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle, Health Care Billing or Revenue Estimation.
  3. Familiarity with Healthcare data and regulatory requirements.
