Overview of Analyst Program:
Parthenon’s Analyst program offers a unique entry into the private equity industry. The depth and breadth of Parthenon’s analyst program provides a tremendous entry-level opportunity and career- path within private equity. Parthenon’s distinctive approach to investing and company building provides Analysts the opportunity to build both the transaction execution skills typically found in a traditional investment banking program as well as the operational toolkit generally gained from a consulting program.
The Analyst program is typically a 2-year program with the expectation for promotion to Associate. With the program’s long-term focus on career development, successful candidates will have an opportunity to continue with Parthenon and rise within the firm or potentially join a portfolio company in a strategic role.
As a member of the investment team, analysts will work on leveraged private equity transactions and will support all aspects of investing including transaction sourcing, valuation, due diligence, structuring, and documentation. While working on active investment opportunities, analysts will analyze complex data sets, gain strong industry and business model expertise, and develop abilities as a private equity investor.
Position Responsibilities:
Analysts spend their time on transactions and portfolio company management, working with other investment professionals (including significant access to senior team members), Parthenon’s strategic resource team, and portfolio company executives (CEOs, CFOs, etc.). They will be expected to contribute to the Parthenon team by taking significant levels of responsibility and broadening relevant skill sets.
Responsibilities will revolve around three primary types of work:
- Investing – Analysts will work with deal teams to evaluate investment opportunities, research industry dynamics, analyze complex data sets to complete due diligence, build financial models, develop investment committee memorandum, and support deal execution for both platform and add-on investments.
- Portfolio Management and Operations – Analysts will work with Parthenon’s investment and operating teams to help portfolio management implement industry best practices in a variety of areas (examples include organizational structure, financial reporting, sales execution, and product road mapping).
- Thesis Development and Internal Operations – Analysts will work in a matrixed mode across offices and deal teams, gaining exposure to a variety of industries and senior deal team professionals to identify and research new investment opportunities and support the creation of new best practices for the portfolio.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Expected graduation in Spring 2026 (Winter 2025 grads will also be considered), with a track record of sustained academic and extracurricular excellence
- Outstanding quantitative, analytical skills and a strong foundation in finance, accounting, data and analytics and business strategy
- High degree of personal and professional maturity; collegiality in a team environment is a must
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Intellectually curious with an innate love of learning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative
- Exceptional work ethic and a deep sense of accountability
- Ability to multi-task, working on conflicting priorities simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of work quality
Compensation:
Parthenon Analysts are offered an attractive and comprehensive compensation package including a competitive base salary, bonus potential, and excellent benefits. Annual expected base salary for entry-level Analyst: $100,000.
