2025 Summer Internship Program
IPRO’s 2025 Summer Internship Program is an eight-week experience for college students to gain invaluable hands-on work experience in a dynamic environment that is aligned with their academic interests. We are looking for individuals interested in gaining exposure, practical experience and insight into a multifaceted nonprofit healthcare organization. This exciting internship opportunity will take place from June 2, 2025 - July 25, 2025, on site in Lake Success, NY.
WHO WE ARE
IPRO is a non-profit organization that works with government agencies, providers, and patients to implement innovative programs that bring policy ideas to life. IPRO makes creative use of clinical expertise, emerging technology, and data solutions to make the healthcare system work better. IPRO holds contracts with federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as private-sector clients, in more than 33 states and the District of Columbia.
Managed Care
IPRO is seeking an Intern for its Managed Care Department. IPRO’s Managed Care Department has worked at the forefront of performance measurement and improvement, combining the dual values of scientific evidence and the practical experiences of states and managed care plans. As the External Quality Review Organization (EQRO) we work with more than 150 managed care plans (MCPs) across the country, performing the full breadth of mandatory and optional external quality review (EQR) activities and providing innovative solutions and best practices to help our state clients monitor and improve MCP performance.
IPRO’s extensive experience has helped us address the needs of rural populations, the underserved, ethnic and racial minorities, the chronically ill, persons with diabetes, persons with AIDS, those with mental illness, children with special healthcare needs, the aged, individuals with long-term care needs, the developmentally disabled, and others.
This invaluable Summer Internship will offer the following:
- Hands-on experience in developing and managing chat agents.
- Acquired skills in using CoPilot for automation and task management.
- The ability to write comprehensive reports and communicate findings effectively.
- The ability to understand the principles of the quality improvement cycle and how to apply them.
- The ability to learn to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement using AI and automation.
Required Criteria:
The intern must be a college level student (undergraduate or graduate).
The hourly pay for hires for our 2025 internship opening is $16.50.
