Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking a dedicated Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment team in Winston Salem, NC.
As a Therapist, you will assist and support the people we serve in the development of skills, behaviors, responsibilities, and supports needed to live, learn, work and be integrated into the community with the greatest possible degree of self-determination and independence. You will complete an intake assessment including: medical history, general physical condition, alcohol and drug histories and current use, educational issues, family structure and relationships, vocational history and goals, legal history and issues, psychiatric history (including, onset, course, effect of illness, treatment history, medication history risk behaviors). You will also coordinate services with the program, staff, inpatient facilities, and detoxification facilities and establish linkage to residential programs, self-help programs and community resources.
To qualify, candidates must have the following:
- A Master's degree in a Human Services related field is required.
- Candidates must have one of the following North Carolina licenses: LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA, LCSW, LCMHC or LMFT.
- At least 2 years of experience working with people with a mental health and/or substance use disorder diagnosis.
