Business Development Intern

PharPoint Research, an award winning Contract Research Organization (CRO) based in North Carolina, is looking for a motivated Business Development Intern to join our team this summer. The Business Development Intern will be responsible for researching and qualifying potential leads for the business development team; and generate summarized reports of their key findings. This individual will be an enthusiastic team player able to understand PharPoint’s value proposition and the potential clients that would benefit.

 

What you can expect to do:

  • Build a funnel of pre-qualified leads for PharPoint’s business development team to further research and develop.
  • Support lead management follow-up and account management activities.
  • Provide KPI reporting and updates on all activity, including status reports on a weekly basis.
  • Manage and build various lists and campaigns as needed.
  • Perform data mining and data hygiene tasks in Salesforce.
  • Participate in sales calls as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Science or related field.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM helpful.
  • A strong commitment to quality and precision.
  • Ability to problem-solve and identify process efficiencies and improvements.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet changing deadlines and demands.
  • A goal oriented, self-motivated, and results driven individual.
  • Able to work a minimum 15-20 hours per week during regular business hours.
